| Comment: Arch Doty Collection - Purchased at Bilane Sale, Green Valley Auction Lot b-326, April 2004 This plate was described at the auction as "439-B-V, colorless, higher arc scallops" The plate had a hand written Bilane label that very distinctly says "439-B-X" However, Bilane's Cup Plate Discoveries lists a "439DX as similar to R439 but the scallops have a higher arc." I propose to assign this plate the number 439D Dave McDonnell | |||||||
